From less expensive and further away seats I’m going to try to embody the lived experience of someone who pays $700 each for two third-row seats in a Broadway theater without the first inkling of what the play is about

Orlando’s artistic crosswalks boosted safety. Florida ordered them painted over City data shows the bright, colorful designs reduced pedestrian-vehicle conflicts on busy Orange Avenue.

This #Florida city's data shows the artistic crosswalks that #Florida Gov. Ron DeSastrous ordered painted over actually INCREASED safety. He had his DOT paint them over anyway. www.orlandosentinel.com/2025/08/31/o... via @skylerswisher.bsky.social

He Got A Slap on the Wrist. I Got Expelled. Excerpts from my Eastman complaint to the New York State Division of Human Rightsβ€”submitted under penalty of perjury.

He screamed. He cursed. He harassed.

I reported him.

The result?

He stayed at the Eastman School of Music. I got expelled.

This Memorial Day Weekend, the goal is to grill without eating metal spikes.

In a 4-4 tie, the Supreme Court declined to violate the Constitution by establishing public religious schools. Is it time for the Left to admit their fears were hysterical and unfounded?

If we still care about national media, and we are not investing in our local media, we have a problem. Understandably, local media cannot cover all national issues. But they often do, and non-conglomerates deserve everyone’s financial support.

Opinion | No One Has Ever Defeated Autocracy From the Sidelines

β€œWhen citizens must think twice about criticizing or opposing the government because they could credibly face government retribution, they no longer live in a full democracy.

By that measure, America has crossed the line into competitive authoritarianism.”

The Federal courthouse should be open to everyone. They should simply say dress your best. Especially for a middle school that houses so many kids from all walks of life. Not everyone has a shirt and tie and women should not be expected to wear skirts.

I will tell you from personal experience, I have appeared at attorneys benches multiple times, despite the fact that I am not one to argue in federal court. I quit wearing skirts and high heels years ago because they are uncomfortable.

πŸ§”πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ"No one cares for the plight of men! We have problems too!"

Nonsense. Everyone cares, and everyone acknowledges our challenges. We just disagree with the solution you choose, which is hurting other people rather than helping yourself, and pretending like there aren't better ways to get help.

You can’t say criminals don’t deserve due process when due process is the thing that decides if they're criminals. Otherwise you're just kidnapping people you don't like.

If they were arresting judges in another country with an authoritarian-inclined (even if democratically elected) government, we'd be alarmed.

We in the U.S. should be alarmed.

SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES
No. 24A1007
A.A.R.P., ET AL. V. DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, ET AL.
ON APPLICATION FOR INJUNCTION
[April 19, 2025]
JUSTICE ALITO, with whom JUSTICE THOMAS joins, dis-senting.
Shortly after midnight yesterday, the Court hastily and prematurely granted unprecedented emergency relief. Proceeding under the All Writs Act, 28 U.S. C. $1651, the Court ordered "[t]he Government" not to remove a "putative class of detainees" until this Court issues a superseding or-der. 604 U.S. _ (2025). Although the order does not define the "putative class," it appears that the Court means all members of the class that the habeas petitioners sought to have certified, namely, "[a]ll noncitizens in custody in the Northern District of Texas who were, are, or will be subject to the March 2025 Presidential Proclamation entitled Invocation of the Alien Enemies Act Regarding the Invasion of the United States by Tren De Aragua' and/or its imple-mentation."* Motion for Class Certification in No. 1:25-cv-59 (ND Tex., Apr. 16, 2025), ECF Doc. 3, p. 1. And although the Court does not specify what it means by "[t]he Govern-ment," it appears that the term is intended to embrace all the named defendants, including the President. Cf. Fed.
Rule Civ. Proc. 65(d)(2).
