Vogel is a good middle ground between both of them; between Jim’s pitch & Steve’s inflection, but not feeling as conceited. I can see how the dialect can be a putoff; but I can see that as adding a pinch of Frank Welker.

I’ve seen alot of people give Matt Vogel’s performance as Kermit a lot of flak, but keep in mind; before him, & after Jim Henson bit the dust; we had 28 years of Steve Whitmire as the Frog.

It’s easy to forget how jarringly high pitched & conceited Steve felt.
