CCASNC 2025:
SICKNESS AND WELLNESS
We are delighted to announce that the call for papers for the Cambridge Colloquium in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic 2025 is now open. This year's theme is 'Sickness and Wellness', and our keynote speaker will be Dr Christina Lee, from the University of Nottingham. The conference will be held on Saturday, 22nd February 2025, at the Faculty of English, 9 West Road, Cambridge,
CB3 9DP.
The 2025 colloquium especially welcomes papers that focus on a range of topics relating to wellness, illness and more generally health, across the various disciplines that look at the early medieval period, including literature, history, archaeology, theology and manuscript studies. We hope that this year's colloquium will offer fresh insights into how illness was cured and wellness was maintained in early medieval Britain and Scandinavia. Submit abstracts by 10th November of no more than 250 words to ccasnc@gmail.com!
