Fair. Looking at its core, one shot just means something you do once. Considering folks have their own spins on it, best bet is to not wholly rely on it as a strict measurement of time, and just be up front as possible about how long you expect a game might run. 🙂

When you think about the phrase “I’ll give it a shot,” it really just means you’re willing to try something, not necessarily within a set time frame. But yes, in a hobby where labels are both frowned upon and expected, there’s never an exact answer to these questions…except how to pronounce zine. 😜

We’ve received our first feed back from a Keeper kind enough to playtest our Miskatonic Repository scenario for us and one of the highlights was everyone failed their SAN rolls at the end, one of which died running in a panic into the Thames and drowned. That should make @gothnog.bsky.social proud.😅
