I for one am glad to close the book on 2024. The end of a year is hardly a real ending but I need to feel something like closure anyway. Here's to reaching equilibrium.

Officially in holiday cooking mode and got my first burn of the season to prove it AND delay side dish prep by a few hours.

I gave in and we watched Home Alone tonight, kicking off the Christmas movie season. We capped it immediately with Mickey's Christmas Carol. I can't claim to be in a Christmas headspace yet but it was a start.

I punted on a prior commitment tonight at my church. Between the padawan's ELA homework and today just being a big fat series of "nope," I just did not want to be with people.

Yeah, becoming an introvert more every year.

At a vision appointment for the padawan and let me tell you, if I could wield the power necessary I would be eliminating computers for every day schoolwork. Obliterating them. No more Chromebooks and iPads. Gone.
