Best lineup in decades, and far more than Klaus Schulze in Tangerine Dream who was only in the band for 9 months :)

And then he scrapped most of TD's music and added insult to injury by adding Keith Jarrett's Spheres/Hymns part 3 over the top of their score in places. Still a great soundtrack and film. Most of Sorcerer was scored by Edgar and Peter Baumann

He was in the 9th lineup of TD, lasting about 9 months in the group (1969-1970, TD having been formed in 1967). Great musician.

'The Wages of Fear' is a masterpiece, Sorcerer is the second remake, the first being 1958's Violent Road. Sorcerer also uses music from Keith Jarrett's Hymns/Spheres part 3, sometimes mixed in with Tangerine Dream's score

The 25 Best Movie Scores of the 1970s The film music of the '70s was most exciting because of the musicians you'd never find in a studio executive's rolodex.

Did you know that Leo Kottke was Terrence Malik's first choice to write the score for Days of Heaven? Some great scores here amongst the usual Goldsmith/Williams crap, including Tangerine Dream, Wendy Carlos, Popol Vuh, Goblin, Sun Ra...

They did a large tour of the States a couple of years ago - 19 dates? They are unlikely to repeat session guests bar Steve Roach

True, but their mid 80s to 90s albums all sold 150,000 copies each in the states. Sadly cancelled tours affected their profile in the States
