Funnybones author Allan Ahlberg dies aged 87 The author of the classic children’s picturebook Funnybones (Puffin, 1980) as well as 150 "timeless" children’s books, Allan Ahlberg, has died at the age of 87.

I loved Funnybones so much as a child- still have my copy :(
