Just did a few short runs of this (it's in that "Sega Genesis Classics" collection that came out several years back). It's got the juice. Inscrutable items, hidden doors, sleep spamming wizards that'll make you scream. This is good!

Fatal Labyrinth on the Genesis gets a bad rap. It is, roughly, the closest thing to a Mystery Dungeon game to be on the Genesis. Perhaps it's even truer to original Rogue than MD itself.

Funny how both FL and Torneko's Big Adventure have the same semi-passive, sleep-spamming Magicians, though.
