To this day I'm undecided about whether she and Alistair went through with it. I'm leaning towards no so that they'd be at the front lines in Ferelden during Veilguard. But I'm still not sure.

Yes, Elaryn found a cure that transfers a Warden's Blight to a spirit. She brought it to Weisshaupt, started a teensy civil war over making it accessible, then went south with like-minded Wardens to form the Wardens of the Peace, a faction less bound by tradition for tradition's sake.

Aneira doesn't really remember that portait, but it was so ingrained in a pivotal part of her life that she instinctively wants to trust the Guardian, at least at first. Talking to everyone else and hearing that they had a similar dream puts her guard up.

Gave some thought to how the Guardian looks this time. Usually I just spam random until it's something not completely ridiculous. 😜

But this time the Emperor pulled from deep within Aneira's psyche and drew inspiration from a portrait of Tyr she saw when she first became a paladin.

I just finished a 50 hour BG3 run.
I started playing ME2 after.
I'm having a rough time having fun with it because of it being a TPS.
Probably starting Aneira over and reallllly taking my sweet time lingering in fantasy comfort gaming.

By my typical phone customization protocols, I should be doing ME2 screenshots since that's what I'm actively playing. But Gale and Aneira are still my happy place. 🥰

For the record I did lose Aneira's Oath once and it was for a stupid reason. For some reason attacking the OBVIOUSLY EVIL SLAVERS before talking to them to confirm they were OBVIOUSLY EVIL SLAVERS broke it. Attacking from a dialogue choice was fine. I'm still bitter about it, if you can't tell. 😜

Before anyone comes for me, I know that could have caused rioting among Paladin players. The whole Oath thing is already questionable enough in its implementation, let's not involve it in critical main plot choices. It was just a thought I had as a Devotion Paladin during the end scenes.

Kinda feels like asking someone else to sacrifice themselves and become Illithid should be a ding on your Paladin Oath if you're good. 😅 Especially when you have to off them after because they can't stand the thought of living as one.
