It’s time for the yearly tradition of bringing spooky season in with my favourite music video featuring dancing skeletons and knife-wielding machine gun bats.

It’s incredible there was a time that controlling movement with the stylus was shoved into games. The combination of wrist strain from holding the console with one hand and a plastic stick blocking out your view of the screen leads to some of the most miserable handheld gaming experiences I’ve had.

I’m delving back into the DS library and Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, the BioWare(!) RPG, has been my first port of call.
It’s a rough start, with mushy pixel art and a bland world, laborious tutorialising and an awkward turn-based battle system with stylus QTEs.

EARTH MUST DIE is about a dumbass authoritarian dictator, and the whole game is deeply, unashamedly anti-fascist in nature.

The GOOD news is, if you're a fascist, most of the jokes will go over your head and you can just look at the pretty colours? 👍

General suggestion - maybe placing them in descending order of score isn’t a great idea. Gives the impression that the higher scores are more valid, and relatively obscure publications throwing out 10’s gives them top billing.
