i hesitate to say anything here because <points at everything> … but whatever else it is that’s not logically inconsistent: as you say, darts is effectively an “open” (men & women) sport so trans women are not being excluded from the sport but from the (by definition, restricted) women’s category

The important point is that CfDs currently being awarded will lock in (for 20 years) wholesale costs above the current gas-set market price. That doesn’t mean they are a bad thing - energy security and reduced emissions are worthwhile goals - but renewables are not cheap.

ps this reinforces my point - again: i’m pro renewables and subsidising them today, it’s merely the nationalist rhetoric that claims Scotland is somehow getting ripped off by the GB energy market that irks me!

(2/2) what i objected to in that SNP post was the implication that because we have lots of renewables in Scotland it’s unfair that our bills are so high today - as somebody in favour of renewables, i see the GB energy market and renewables subsidies defrayed across all GB bill payers as a good thing
