There’s never not gonna be new fighting games so I don’t understand the rush for everything to be a big hit. Some genres are just niche.

I do feel kinda bad for all the FGC content creators who bet super hard on 2XKO being the next big thing because “Riot money” and “free to play” though.

Gonna give Monster Hunter Wilds one final shot with that anniversary update next week as I like the rotating seasonal events being back. But I played the game again a few weeks ago and still wasn’t satisfied by where the game was, but I’ll give it one last shot.

Finally sat down and watched the State of Play. This made up for the shitty partner showcase last week, so much content here! Day one for Tokon, Kena 2 looks very good, CastleVania also looks really good, and some other major announcement that may not hit for me personally but we’re cool to see.

Cannot wait for this game to be out as it has shown up in like the last 8 directs/state of plays/geoff shows in a row.

Not shocking at all but damn, game doesn’t interest me but I hate seeing so many people lose their jobs.

It’s $70. There’s an absolute swarm of “multiplayer only” games you can play for free.

You can argue the same thing for fighting games as most that have no single player content tend not to do very well.

If someone doesn’t fuck with the Shogun Studios OST then we can’t be friends 😤

I don’t need it to be hard, I just need the game to not essentially play itself and give me a reason to engage with it at all.

Not really expecting that though, fully bracing myself for “every monster now one/two shots you and takes 30 minutes to kill” and they call it a day. :/

This really sucks.

It is at least funny to consider that at one point in time this was a platform fighter like Smash Bros but Multiversus bombing scared them off from doing that.

I haven’t touched it because I don’t care about the League of Legends IP and don’t particularly care for tag fighters (I’ll make an exception for Tokon). But it is a shame. Hopefully 2XKO continues to get support throughout the year.

That’s disappointing especially given how quickly after launch this decision was made. Hopefully the people being let go from the 2XKO team go elsewhere within Riot and aren’t just laid off, though I have my doubts about that :(

If we don’t it’s not coming out this year imo. Game has gone scarily quiet since the last beta got a mixed reception, and even without that no new character reveals since the game’s reveal trailer is head scratching. Not sure what’s going on with the game.

60 minutes goddamn. More excited for this than I was that partner showcase. Unfortunately State of Plays are alway at awkward times for me so I won’t be watching this live. Hoping for Marvel Tokon to actually announce something new again!
