Indeed. All states need to allow their voters to confirm with 100 percent accuracy who/what they voted for on their ballot and states must retain those records for xx amount of years for audit reasons. I don't understand how we can't all have nice and obvious things like this.

I know you’re a bodybuilder, but use your noggin this time. Nearly half of those who receive food stamps work. Of the rest, most are over 65 or disabled. Wages are too low for tens of millions, and Social Security isn’t enough for many elderly.

Normalizing the idea of a third Trump term, even as a ‘theory,’ is wildly irresponsible. We need reporters who challenge authoritarian impulses, not those who entertain them.

Hope he continues to insist any hearings he shows up for are public, and not closed door with only Congress members hearing his testimony.

i just need people to know it's not hypocrisy when Devout Christian Mike Johnson cuts off SNAP benefits. it's not a lack of "christian charity" to make kids starve; it's because the christian right wants to control who gets food, through churches, so they can deny queers and sluts at will

I see that the United States' peculiar brand of Christian Nationalism includes judging the poor for needing SNAP benefits (judging is something Jesus said *not to* do) but not helping the poor with SNAP benefits (helping the poor is something Jesus told them *to* do).

Maybe they’re just looking for a heart.
