#herbchat Aside from me hating on it, I had never heard anything bad about it. Mom’s plant tried to take me out every time I walked past it. I trimmed it with a chainsaw once. Banned for months. It grew back thicker and meaner.

#herbchat No, it is not. Apple trees should not have thorns.

#herbchat It was a strong plant, but the thorns were cruel. I’ve seen pink or white, not sure about other colors. It’s in the apple family, early spring flowers. The birds love it.

#herbchat Quince jelly is the stuff of legends. State fair competitions, old family recipes, etc. I tried to harvest fruit once and decided the birds could have it.

#herbchat Yes. Mom had one on her walkway. Fast grower. Vicious thorns. We kept it at shrub size. Easy to see it getting tree size.

#Herbchat Quince is an interesting choice. It was interesting to research because I don’t think of quince like that.
