*this morning musing brought to you by flu/covid vaxx soreness & mild fever*

I appreciated how she stressed that empathy and caring are very good things, and how it's okay to need more help right now as someone who cares deeply about justice & humanity.

And then she approved my dose increase, also stressing there's no shame in needing more help. I'm so grateful for her.

My doctor suggested that I try to have a better balance of what I'm consuming re: the news cycle / info on social media, and then we launched into a 3 minute back-and-forth rant about the state of things, and then she went "OH NO now WE'RE doing it, I know, it's challenging, let's stop" 🤣

My favourite line from this movie is actually "What is a revolution without dancing?" because *gestures to everything* (and also because when we were in the theatre, @boughanfire.bsky.social leaned over and whispered "So it's a dance...dance??? revolution?"), but there are a lot of really good ones.

I have a very bad feeling about this...

Local cosplay legend, a senior citizen who attends every con I've ever vended at in Ontario, was in attendance in his signature Captain Picard with Kermit the Frog outfit.

The man selling swords at the booth next to me gave everyone An Experience. He let them hold the swords, told them about the make, told stories about the weapon and how the characters used them. He looked like a greasy used car salesman, slicked hair & shoe spurs.

Nothing but respect for him!!
