...to the top 'floor' of the vivarium because I want to give Churro a blue sky (aww.) (I might sneakily dab in some glow-in-the-dark paint spots to give him a star scaoe hehe.)

I also touched up some of the purple paint which a certain naughty little cat got on his toe when my back was turned...

Behold! The top of the WIP wooden vivarium is getting primed white so that I can paint it bluuue! Like the sky! Yay!

A suspicious stain of a very particular PURPLE acrylic paint on Keplar's white paw. Little shit cat was definitely exploring the vivarium while I wasn't looking!

Guess who was 'helping' again today... damnit Keplar! 😂 I had to stop twice because he got too curious about the squeaky sound the foam makes when I cut it/he attempted to determine whether the knife might be fun to play with. (Answer: NO.)

Update: I carved more foam plus applied white paint...

Also I'd build a big rad educational public aquarium showcasing the aquatic wildlife that lives in my area, which means beauties like sturgeon, kokanee salmon, & rainbow trout, plus I'd put something anthropogenic in it like a sunken car or paddlewheel. I'd have land ecology exhibits too. ❤️

& if there wasn't already wetland or a water source on that land I'd buy & rewild? I'd search out where there might be an aquifer under that land & tap it to build a little spring fed pond or small lake, creating wetland. I'd plant aquatic water plants around it, & build a hibernaculum for bats.❤️

I'd buy up a bunch of rural land, ranches & farms & the like, & rewild them. Emphasis would be on buying land containing wetland to protect it from being destroyed by development. I'd also build some truly affordable, energy efficient, pet-friendly housing.

Plus: a little hobby farm for my family.❤️

(Most other *snake* species chill in their water bowls in captivity.

...that he'll be less sensative to humidity than his wild ancestors/brethren. Which makes me wonder, since Churro always has water in his bowl, might he even hang out in it like individuals of most other species? Does he drink more often than his wild counterparts, who may never even see water?

...interacts with his dairy cow isopod roommates. Turns out: he seems to completely ignore their existence - they might as well just be more leaves or dirt, lol. (Of course, this is only one observation.)

He was once again scoping out his water dish which is really interesting 'cus a lot of rosy boa keepers allegedly don't even let their rosy boas have a water dish most of the time due to their desert nature. I was also super curious about seeing how Churro...

And yes, that reddish smear on the one piece of carved blue foamboard? It's blood from my finger which I accidentally knicked while carving today. I've literally put blood, sweat, & tears into this project lol, but it's so worth it for my baby dude!!!❤️❤️❤️🐍🥹 (I caught him spying on me today!😁)
