Ooh! Then this is a very special meal- To be sharing, I mean.

[She sheepishly fumbles over her words a bit, embarrassed by her outburst.] In the sense that it is also like sharing a piece of her soul with others, you know? Though indirectly… It’s kind of silly, but I think it’s very sweet.

[They help, plating some rice before surveying the kitchen drawers to find the silverware. She looks rather proud of herself when she does.]

So, is this recipe one you found or did you cook it up yourself?

It feels great to have things for myself, to do things for myself, to care for people because I want to. I live for little things like that, or like this. It’s always nice to spend time with people you love- for the love of doing so.

I think I’ve learned that in my time after prison- even while inside it. There is a lot of community to be found and it’s been very nice to be apart of it. It feels like my bubble gets bigger everyday. [she laughs, smiling to herself.]

I’m happy with the family I’ve made for myself so far.

[They laugh, thinking some about his question.] There are mundane things: places to travel or foods to try. I love my apartment, though I can’t help but wonder how freeing a house of my own would be. Hmm. I, admittedly, have not thought very much about family.

I don’t think I ever thought that far, back then. Definitely not of children or a house. I think… I just imagined the rest of my life as how my life was at that moment, but older. I don’t think I ever dreamed much bigger than living at temple until I left it, because of Dahlia…

She’s a sweetheart and it’s obvious she absolutely adores you. You’ve done an amazing job raising her- again, not that you need me to tell you that.

I have always loved cooking and did it a lot when I was young, but having someone cook for me was always nice. Sister Bikini says it is sharing a piece of your soul. It takes generosity, patience, and love; which is passed on to heal the mind and body of others. The physical exchange of virtues.

Yeah. Prepackaged ramen certainly doesn’t compare to a homemade meal, especially in taste. But it was… sweet. ‘Cooking’ for us even if it was on a budget.

I spent half an hour panicking thinking one of my mice escaped from their enclosure, but she buried herself in the shavings under one of the hiding spots. Sleepy gal was too tired to even come out for treats ( ๑´д`๑)
