Good read on our set-piece game from the Beeb..

He certainly does - I think he'll raise the standard for that kind of intelligent attacking play for the whole team as they learn from each other. I just hope we don't try to shoehorn him into a classic #9 role as I think we have something quite unique here as you say..
27.09.2025 07:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Obviously we've only seen limited minutes from Woltemade so trying to keep expectations duly grounded, but on the evidence so far it's a joy to see a player with such control, vision and creativity applied to every opportunity he gets with the ball. He's going to be an absolute monster..
27.09.2025 05:04 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I can see us going into November (almost 1/4 of season) with 10 points
ARS (H) - lose
NOT (H) - win
BHA (A) - lose
FUL (H) - draw
Top 5 finish will be out of sight by then, and we'll need a good run in Nov/Dec to get out of the bottom quartile IMO..
We have only two players who you'd describe as having any technical finesse - Tonali and Hall. The rest of them are huff-and-puff or pace merchants with very little control, creativity or end product.
21.09.2025 17:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Relegation battle will probably be around the 40 point mark this season - no newly-promoted cannon fodder providing a comfy buffer this time.
And we look proper crap in attack.. Buckle up lads and lasses.
the thing that really worries me is that this season looks like will be a proper relegation battle around the minimum 40 points mark as the promoted teams are giving it a proper go - and currently we're tracking to be in that relegation scrap..
21.09.2025 15:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1100m on Ramsey & Elanga and neither of them are prolific. Gordon has been poor for a year and Barnes' form is stinking. Our MF on the whole scores very infrequently. We've gambled on Wissa repeating his career-best stats going forward
we'll get sunk this season by a lack of goals
xG of 0.14 and 1 shot on target (and I don't even remember it)
21.09.2025 14:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0will be story of our season I fear
Rat + Murph were the vast bulk of our creative attacking output
I don't see where we're getting goals from until Wissa gets fully bedded in
rough few weeks still to come
He gets a lot of latitude from fans & media IMHO.. the reality is he had a poor output at Everton, had one good season for us, and has done very little in the G/A column for us (and England) ever since
I would have sold him last summer and kept Anderson & Minteh personally
As an expat seeing the Wor Flags displays at SJP just fills me with love and pride for my city and club every single time. An army of volunteer fans who make so many days and nights at SJP extra special - there's truly no-one else like them in English football IMO, and I'm very happy to donate
18.09.2025 21:33 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hope we see more of these types of displays more often. Because this is class.
If you want more flag displays as big as this one at SJP this season donate to Wor Flags
he's another-level of dreadful, he really is..

12.09.2025 17:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0IDK man, he's missed a lot of football last three years through injury
as you say, was a tackle and not a pull-up, so fingers crossed
but it's not a promising start on that front
Last 3 seasons player has missed 356 days or 50 games through injury
and he's injured again
Wissa has to be ascribed to bad luck as he's rarely injured otherwise. Ramsey is a well-known sicknote and we were always asking for trouble there IMO.

I've got no problem if they want to come down for Bradford City in the cup - but the idea of them snagging blocks of dodgy tickets for marquee UCL games which could sell out 100,000 is a bit hard to swallow
11.09.2025 14:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0the right move IMHO
was only a few weeks ago club was showcasing a Geordie schoolboy who'd skipped school for the Cup Final as testament to the passion of the local youth fanbase
next thing you know there's 45 kids from Dundee wearing Barca shirts going to the most anticipated home game in 20yrs
less than 300 quid for ticket plus return travel and overnight accommodation..
cheapest hospitality ticket (sold out now) I can see is 506 per ticket
something's fishy if you ask me
WTAF?
45 x UCL tickets for Newcastle vs Barcelona to a bunch of Scottish private school kids
Don't worry about those pesky NUFC members eh?
