I have no more capacity to organize but one very useful thing that people could do in their individual states is to track all of the "DHS Gestapo recruitment fairs" over the next few years and then organize direct actions at each fair. Show up with posters telling folks not to sign up etc...

A lengthy response letter from Representative Brad Finstad's office basically saying that Trump said he was going to "clean up government waste, fraud, and abuse," and that he has "appointed Elon Musk and Tom Krause as special government employees" in service of that goal. He assures me that Musk and others have only been given read-only access to Treasury data. He adds "President Trump and Treasury Secretary Bessent have not given Elon Musk, Tom Krause, or anyone in DOGE the power to cut off or disrupt Social Security Payments, Medicare benefits, or federal salaries." More: "Veteran career Treasury officials alongside Tom Krause are in the process of conducting an operational efficiency assessment of the Treasury department....Each of the assessments have [sic] been conducted by Treasury staff in accordance with all standard security, safety, and privacy standards." It ends with "Recently, the U.S. national debt surpassed $36 trillion. As your representative, I will continue working in Congress to rein in out-of-control spending, ensure taxpayer dollars are respected, and fight to leave our backyard better for future generations." Generic "thank you for contacting my office" sign off with his signature on the bottom.

How do we feel about this response letter from Rep. Brad Finstad (R) of MN District 1? I'm thinking this is a response to an @resist.bot email stating "Elon Musk is not elected & should not have access to government computer systems" that I sent yesterday. @indivisiblemnleg
