Every month we get a bunch of big sacks from An Post to put our newspapers in to deliver to the depot to be sent out to subscribers. Not infrequently someone else's post is left in the bottom of a sack or two. Here is this month's haul. 1/

Scary situation: Fake spiderwebs a real fright for wildlife
Fake spiderwebs are a popular Halloween decoration, but they can be a death trap for wildlife.
Please don’t use this stuff.
“This is the time of year that rehabilitators receive numerous animals caught in these decorations, from songbirds to chipmunks and everything in between,"

Wait. Misneach has to move out of the Arás?
I kind of thought he owned the property and the state leased it off him on payment of walks and ear scratches.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Does anyone remember a funny TV ad, late 80s/early 80s featuring two guys making corncrake noises? Each thought they were getting closer to a real corncrake til they reversed into each other. Cue much corncrake-like indignation. WHAT WAS IT FOR AND WHERE CAN I FIND IT. KitKat?
