My favorite was when I had to fill two committees, one we got 40% female, the other one ended up with 70% female. The one with 40% was the one where we had to make adjustments.

New Paper!
How do human B cells use dynamic DNA topology during antibody maturation? Our research published in Molecular Cell reveals how somatic hypermutation (SHM) and class switch recombination (CSR) work in the context of a regulated multiway 3D chromatin hub. (1/10) 🧡

Regulation of somatic hypermutation by higher-order chromatin structure Schoeberl et al. employ Tri-C to unravel the higher-order chromatin architecture underpinning the co-transcriptional mutagenesis of immunoglobulin genes during antibody maturation in human B cells. They provide evidence that antibody maturation occurs within a dynamic multiway hub wherein transcription and mutation of different genes occur non-competitively.
