I love that @govpritzker.illinois.gov is getting slammed in the comments of all his posts for being all talk while his state and local police have been seen assisting ICE instead of protecting people.

He was all excuses and deflection whenever Jon Stewart pressed him for ideas about what levers of power governors can pull. Everyone was so quick to praise this billionaire, but he is as all bark, and now all he has are excuses if he even has anything to say at all.

It's a shame that I keep seeing ICE doing their thing while local law enforcement either looks the other way or straight-up aids them.

It took me until my 30s to really understand the layers of Wolverine underneath "cool grumpy dude," like the guy who has been around so long that he struggles to believe things will ever really get better or that he will fit in or be welcome among those less jaded than he is.

It isn't that no one wants to see movies anymore. It's that no one wants to go to the cinema anymore. I want to want to go, but I just can't justify it in this economy.

...so can everyone who is a participant in 2nd amendment rights all agree to start exercising those rights on ICE? They're unconcerned with any other consequences, and as most are cowardly bullies, I suspect they will crumble. Those who don't have already gotten deadly without provocation anyway.

It's weird how so many of us all experienced the same phenomenon of thinking we had cut ties with all the pebble-chewers in our lives over their continued support of Trump only to discover through this Charlie Kirk thing how we had awful people still lurking in our lives.

The way some people talked, I thought 4x8 plywood and the ability to fit it in my car were both going to be much bigger parts of my life.

I really did think I had purged all the garbage people from my life. How could everything that has happened not revealed them all by now, right? Then this Charlie Kirk thing happened, and I am stunned to learn that there were still others lurking yet.

Violence bad, but it happened. I'm not going to pretend like my main thought isn't, "Good riddance."
