I think what's bothering me about all these statements I'm seeing from politicians that are variations of "Israeli hostages and Palestinians are returning to their homes, yay" is that Israelis are returning to their homes and Palestinians are returning to uninhabitable post apocalyptic rubble.

As long as people are wishing for things, I think a good step for the Canadian government to take would be to introduce some kind of policy of specially allowed entry and/or asylum for transgender U.S. citizens who are being denied passports and are therefore effectively trapped in the country

Despite being very much queer, ace people are often rejected in queer spaces, pathologized, mocked for wanting solidarity, derided for some patently ridiculous reasons that boil down to “you aren’t threatened enough”.
