I wrote a novel set in a Federal Reserve Bank for just this moment when trump would try to diminish the independence of the Fed. 💣 I am working on more but wish best-selling novel writers would include public servants among their characters more than they do. 🤦‍♀️ how public servants became “other.”

Similarly, his asking SCOTUS to let him fire Fed Board Governor Lisa Cook (despite her not having done what he accused her of which wasn’t a legal reason to fire her even if she had done it but she didn’t) is sickening at a new level of insanity. Fed independence is critical to a healthy economy.
