Was this originally meant to be a much longer article, that unfortunately for cut? It starts of so promisingly, and then ends abruptly I thought. Still fascinating though.

22.08.2025 14:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That's exactly the video he's talking about.
19.08.2025 12:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Congratulations! Can't think of a more deserved winner.
17.08.2025 13:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sambhar strikes back!
10.08.2025 09:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've always felt that using climate change as a meaningless catch all term here is completely irresponsible, and refuses to pin blame on the idiotic institutions and people behind the state of affairs.
05.08.2025 18:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Congratulations Gautam, can't wait to get my hands on this! (Did you ever get around to writing that blog on the curation process for this collection?)
03.08.2025 19:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This was all such a great nostalgia trip, thank you for actually writing it!
And if there's anybody in the world who I would bet would love to tame spiders and scorpions (raptors too?) it has to be you :)
I bet you also played Tauren!
Oh no, so this is why this account has not posted in so long. And, til these toys were made in Japan, I thought they were Brit, or at least European.
19.07.2025 11:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm so out of touch, I had to Google what astronomer CEO was about thanks to this skeet
18.07.2025 06:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not at all if its just a login, and I can read articles all the time. However, the login is only a precursor to an actual paywall, unlike say BlueSky, so, will use a paywall in that case.
17.07.2025 14:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is such amazing news, I have eagerly waited for this book since I loved The Devourers.
Will be getting this book pronto, and congratulations!
Can't wait for this! And the cover looks great.
11.07.2025 18:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Something something zeal of the convert.
I think it's a very similar phenomenon among migrants.
Got it. Thanks so much Rishika!
20.05.2025 12:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hey, can you please share this with me: maitrey.d at g mail
20.05.2025 08:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sadly reads better with *our*, given your rightful callout of BSky's western centric bias.
09.05.2025 13:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I really wish you take a shot at writing cli-fi. Especially given your (in my view, sensible, but heretical) views on the politics of climate change mitigation. Would be something to read and mull over.
09.05.2025 13:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Glad to see this tradition is being upheld! To more book recommendations and reviews :)
08.05.2025 16:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Which is why it's so strange to hear TAA wants to go to this kind of club. Maybe he's assured of a change of mentality? Hard to fathom in May honestly
05.05.2025 13:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There was this one crazy essay by David Foster Wallace about how he was great at tennis as a high schooler in small town Illinois I think, because the wind made it unpredictable, despite him being not at all built for tennis, but great at math :)
27.04.2025 04:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Congratulations! Is this being published in India too, with a an affordable edition?
16.04.2025 13:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If you're into that sort of thing, I highly recommend the audiobook! It's narrated by the author, and he does a brilliant job with all the accents, and is a superb narrator.
05.04.2025 14:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh, congratulations! Can't wait to get started on this one then :)
01.04.2025 14:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is this part of the series with William Gold as main character? Or a different one?
01.04.2025 13:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Wait, you mean everybody doesn't do this at home? Only I and my dad know where all the books at our home are, and that too only our separate collections!
21.03.2025 09:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Glad you are here! Hope many more indian journalists make the jump (unfortunately they're still too beholden to the other place), and make this place less American.
16.03.2025 17:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Excellent to hear. Can I watch it as a WoT fan, but not having watched any of the previous seasons? (and no intention to do so)
13.03.2025 13:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also, new Westland book to add to your collection: Rama, Bhima, Soma which looks at the cultural trajectory of the last 30 years in Karnataka, and its written in English. Don't think a book like it exists in Kannada atm, not because readers don't exist, but publishers don't :(
22.02.2025 09:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Very similar situation to yours in that I'm functionally monolingual, and only bilingual with my mother and a few relatives.
Also feel very strange to think that in the India of 50 years from now, you'll have millions of people like me, almost a cosmopolitan elite, with English as mother-tongue.
And weirdly, isn't Bengali and Bangladesh this day was mooted in the first place?
