Superconducting cables are a breakthrough solution for electricity grid challenges. They can carry huge amounts of power in a much smaller surface area than conventional cables and require less infrastructure, materials and space.

Want to see how high-temp superconductors are integrated into our prototype cables?
Using a custom Ridgway machine, we wrap superconductor & copper tapes onto our smooth bore liquid nitrogen pipes. Then we add more layers to complete the cable and prep it for testing.
