Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

A quick 🧵 about the Georgetown class I taught this semester:

To introduce themselves, I had my campaigns and elections course share their ideal campaign walk-up song. After an amazing semester, I turned them into a playlist.

Some observations:
- Beyonce won (narrowly beating U2)
- Most of the songs were written before they were born
- They think candidates try to be too cool with their choices
- They wanted songs with intergenerational appeal
- I don't know what "Lemonade Mouth" is
