No son, they are not "magically delicious." The workers made them delicious. This is a slogan meant to mystify the social conditions of labor

Hours after Border Patrol agent Charles Exum shot Marimar Martinez five times, Gregory Bovino emailed him to ask he continue working past retirement:Β

"In light of your excellent service in Chicago, you have much yet left to do!!" he wrote.

I unsubscribed after you fired a third of your professional journalist staff and didn’t even have the courage to acknowledge it in your own paper. Bezos ruined WaPo and leadership didn’t even fight for their own team

I question whether the motivation for bringing a lot of this stuff to market is profit (and a larger attempt just to justify the larger AI project itself) rather than a genuine need for AI in medicine.

β€˜Absolute hell’: Irishman with valid US work permit held by Ice since September Seamus Culleton has been in a detention facility in Texas for nearly five months despite having no criminal record

And this. Their judge lied about this mans statement to ICE after they said he wanted to be deported. He wanted nothing of the sort.

Yes. Keeping dirt on people also apparently served as a way of ensuring loyalty to his agenda and loyalty to other wealthy shitheads (Eyes Wide Shut style)

The left warned that Starmerism would end like this. Now all of Britain faces the fallout | Owen Jones Peter Mandelson helped Morgan McSweeney privilege Labour’s reactionary forces to sustain the PM, says Guardian columnist Owen Jones

A chicken that loses its head can still, for a short period, run around and flap its wings.

This is Keir Starmer's government.

Really sorry to hear that Katelyn… I think the work you do for the community is invaluable and we would be in an even worse place without you.

At least during the 2017 & 2018 Democrats were trying to push back on Trump. The Russia investigation slowed him down. Now they just meekly vote to give him everything he wants, and that’s supposed to be better??

To everyone who insists β€œthe Epstein connections to Russia are just a distraction from his connections to Israel” are you not capable of understanding that Epstein trafficking and money laundering with other rich assholes is a problem no matter which rightwing oligarchy is involved??

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) β€” Alberto CastaΓ±eda MondragΓ³n says his memory was so jumbled after a beating by immigration officers that he initially could not remember he had a daughter and still struggles to recall treasured moments like the night he taught her to dance.

But the violence he endured last month in Minnesota while being detained is seared into his battered brain.

He remembers Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulling him from a friend’s car on Jan. 8 outside a St. Paul shopping center and throwing him to the ground, handcuffing him, then punching him and striking his head with a steel baton. He remembers being dragged into an SUV and taken to a detention facility, where he said he was beaten again.

He also remembers the emergency room and the intense pain from eight skull fractures and five life-threatening brain hemorrhages.

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man β€œpurposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

Taylor directly addresses that claim in her video. Did you listen to it? If social media companies use AI to more aggressively censor speech that creates another problem, while not actually addressing the actual problem of algorithms that trap users in a toxic bubble that reinforces bad ideas

Very glad this is being introduced but $20 is frankly the bare minimum!

We pay our campaign staff a minimum wage of $25/hr because that’s where we think the minimum wage should be. People deserve to thrive, not just survive.

Far too many ICE agents are lawless, cruel and despicable bullies.

Netflix's Surrender Has Already Begun A CEO calling his own company's past a "mistake." A 47-page report designed to be cited, not read. The pressure campaign that broke Facebook is back for Netflix.

Today's newsletter is about the very bad feeling I got from watching the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing about Netflix this week www.readtpa.com/p/netflixs-s...

I think this is true, but I also think a handful of them are smart enough to know not to use it except to show it off to the public.

Epstein’s economic power among academics was made possible by a capitalist system that makes higher education dependent on the charity economy rather than a public good supported by taxing the rich
