Did u know? This is one of the most important organisms on earth - moss. It's amazing what it does to maintain healthy ecosystems. It minimises soil erosion; captures carbon; harbours tiny souls in its unique habitat & filters & purifies water & air in its dense structure - make room for moss. π±πΏπ¬π§π±ππ¦

The artist Keith A Pettit spotted this photo and came up with this wood engraving based on it. I love it.

Did u know? On milder days, you'll still see pollinators on the wing, so it's a fab idea to have something in flower all year-round. These Fatsia japonica are in full bloom now (not indigenous, but hey-ho) and my wonderful wasps are taking full advantage of their lovely nectar rich blooms. π±πΏπ¬π§π±ππͺ²

Those companies pay billions to their shareholders
And then lay off their workers
Think that's unfair?
Tell Rachel Reeves to stop propping up oil and gas companies and back workers insteadβ¦

Water, trees, air, biodiversity and nature are the immutable guarantors of all our lives. If we do not respect, protect and value them, we are the ones who do not know how to respect, protect and value ourselves. Life is beautiful and is our responsibility.ππ±πΏβοΈπ³π²ππ
23.07.2025 04:42 β π 112 π 22 π¬ 0 π 2With their leaves and needles, the trees act like giant filters. One ha. of beech forest can filter around 70 tons of dust out of the air every year, a ha. of spruce forest as much as 30 tons. In addition trees produce oxygen.
