The one that was cancelled half way through I was quite relieved. Not because of the show, it seemed really good, but because of the rigging swaying about right above us 😬😬

Fringe during storm Floris is not fun. Have seen 1 amazing show, 1 was cancelled and the replacement show we booked was cancelled half way through because of safety 😬

Fringe’s gender-free lavatories send activists round the bend The Daily Telegraph4 Aug 2025By Jacob Freedland WOMEN’S rights activists accused an Edinburgh Fringe venue of breaking the law for allowing biological men to use women’s lavatories. Underbelly Bistro Square, which is home to a number of small theatres, posted a disclaimer below the sign for the female bathroom telling attendees to “use whichever toilet best fits your identity or expression”. The men’s lavatory displayed a similar disclaimer but individual cubicles appeared to still be labelled “gents”. It comes after the Supreme Court said transgender women are not legally female in a landmark ruling. The decision by Britain’s most senior judges in April prompted new guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission, stating that although it is not compulsory for public services to have single-sex facilities such as lavatories, it could be indirect sex discrimination against women if the only toilets provided are mixed-sex. The case was brought to the Supreme Court by the gender-critical campaign group For Women Scotland after two Scottish courts rejected its arguments that the Equality Act’s definition of a woman was limited to people born biologically female. A photograph of the sign was posted on social media by Alex Mcdonald, who said: “My wife is incredibly upset by this. Maybe @edfringe could act and just remove them before @Policescotland get involved.” Mr Mcdonald added on X: “Supporters of trans women in women’s spaces and sports are generally holders of luxury beliefs; they’ve never been affected by what they believe in and are too removed from reality and what many people go through to care.” Susan Smith, from For Women Scotland, told The Telegraph: “This is plainly unlawful. You can’t have a sign like that. You can either have a mixed sex space or a single sex space. It’s not possible to have both at the same time. It’s either one or the other.” #TransAgendaClips

We are responding to the Palestinian Youth Movement's call for a 'Siege on Labour' on Monday: When: Monday 4th August at 6 PM Where: 12a Highview Parade, Ilford, IG4 5EP (15 minute walk from Gants Hill central line station) ? Why: Wes Streeting and the vicious 'Labour Party' are accomplices in the zionist-made famine in Gaza. Streeting is also responsible for the deaths of many trans kids past and future. We are taking unified action across the country on Monday with these demands: 1. A full two-way arms embargo on Israel 2. An end to British RAF surveillance flights over Gaza 3. For the British government to use all UN and sanctions levers to force Israel to allow aid into Gaza 4. For David Lammy to resign as foreign minister after lying to the public about arms sales to Israel This government is dripping in the blood of our trans siblings and of the Palestinian people. We must act together to force Labour to meet these demands.
