Fentanyl. Drug Overdoses, including Fentanyl, are not even in the top 20 causes of death in the USA. Cancer, Diabetes, Covid, Heart Disease all in the top 10, and all have had their research funding cut. They aren't murdering just Venezuelans. However they are killing us much slower.

Yes. When I lived overseas, there were two primary sources we regularly consulted for health guidance- the WHO and the CDC. Now, I truly don't know where to start when looking for solid health information. The destruction was very rapid.

Wow- this is really good to know about. Thank you! But I hear you in that it doesn’t sound pleasant for the user. I feel somewhat like that regarding oxygen nasal cannulas. If you need it, you need it, but gaaah- the burning feeling in my nose lasts for weeks.

That's AWFUL! Like what is WRONG with people?!?! On my daughter's last hospital visit, staff compliance with our request for masking was the bare minimum, and grudging. One of the porters kept pulling down her loose surgical to speak into her walkie talkie, all the way into the OR. 😭

I truly did not know until today that one could get a filter for a trach. Good to know! And yeah, this poor girl has been through so much, that I can't even fathom how she deals with it. She KNOWS full well the ramifications of hospital staff not masking. Unconscionable.

When staff stopped masking at our local children's hospital, a friend described the terror of her 17 year old who used a wheelchair and was trached trying to take an elevator in the hospital where no one masked. Other parents mocked her. We need more Alice in this world.💔

Alice Wong was a fierce advocate for disabled rights. One of the first disabled people I ever saw go on national TV just to talk about how our existences are politicized.
