How responsible was the Manning era for our injury record? It seems pretty clear the fitness levels were nowhere near where they should be when Clement took over, and building those back mid-season was always going to be a tall order. Tantalising for next season, but so frustrating.

As for Makama, I knew he was quality at Lincoln, but even I'm staggered to see him hit his stride so soon. I'm in awe.

Joyous to witness the positivity bubbling around the Canaries.

Seems to be a genuine shock that some of our signings (Mattson, Wright, Schwartau, etc) aren't as bad as they seemed to be. What it proves is just how essential good coaching is, and fully expect to see more blossom.

Really chuffed for the lads though. I've never believed we have rubbish players, just something's been missing. Looks like it was quality coaching, and Clement might give us that.

There's an opportunity to turn things around today. Mark Attanasio's input this week could steady the nerves (both on the pitch and in the stands), and Hull are beatable, even if we haven't shown many signs of beating anyone lately.

Knapper has been criticised for his silence, and rightly so. But Adams, Webber, and even Attanasio could have stepped up.

Fans just want something to get behind, and clear, frank, honest messaging would go a hell of a long way.

I'll keep backing the boys, but I wish the club would do the same.

My biggest takeaway from recent weeks is the lack of accountability from the club.

Manning has been sent out to face the media week in week out with zero support, and it hardly screams confidence or backing.

No wonder the players seem disillusioned, there's no sense of true togetherness.

Finally brought myself to watch the #ncfc highlights. Against an admittedly poor Derby, there were honestly some excellent moments at both ends.

I try not to be knee jerk as a fan. I asked how Manning could come back, but a decent run would change everything. Football's mercurial, it could happen.

In fairness, their keeper put in a superb shift, and it doesn't feel like last season, where we looked constantly panicked.

It just felt like there was a permanent missing piece and an inability to identify it.

That's frustrating. We weren't dreadful by any stretch, and there are some real players there, but it felt worryingly low on confidence and imagination. Vulnerable on the counter and nervous on the break.

Maybe I should have stayed checked out.

Really hoping Makama makes his first league start today. He's made a solid bid for it, and, while I'm still expecting our continental signings to come good, I think he'd bring a certain EFL nous that would make massive difference right now.

A lot of fans have become far too focused on the short-term. A good win, and they're ecstatic; a loss or two, and they're calling for sackings.

Realistically, as a club, we want to be a Brighton or Bournemouth, and their success was achieved by long-term vision and patient building.

Exactly the kind of result and performance Norwich needed after a turbulent week. For all the clamour, I think we've got the makings of a superb squad and a pragmatic manager who'll find the right formula. Got to back them now.

Flip the saga: Ipswich are signing an injury-prone, inconsistent player who's unproven above the Championship. They're paying multiples of his value in the last 10 months of his contract. And he's at Norwich.

If this is how panicky their recruitment is, I'd be more worried as a Binner.

Get why it hurts when it's a rival, but I'm struggling to get too wound up about it. He doesn't want to stay, his contract is up soon, and they're prepared to pay silly money.

Take away the "lovely jubbly," and he's hardly set the world on fire and is injury prone. Good riddance.
