It took me a couple minutes to remember that Microsoft calls it a lock screen. And it broke my already struggling concentration on what I was doing. 2/3

A day or two ago, some new things appeared on the Windows lock screen. Weather, news, etc. Completely out of the blue. Microsoft did not ask for permission. It did not seek my consent. And they provided no easy mechanism to remove them. 1/3

The answer to, "Why are things like this?" isn't satisfying because it forces us to move beyond demonization to empathy.

We've got to stop calling them "elites". Because it turns out they're not really elite at anything except exploitation.

Change takes sacrifice. If no one is willing to sacrifice, to be even temporarily uncomfortable, then nothing is going to change.

Behaviorism leads to external compliance but internal dysregulation.

Co-regulation builds long-term emotional resilience.

I don't know what it's going to take to shake them out of their stupor, but the message to elected Dems has to be "Resist, Resign, or Be Replaced". We need leaders who can and will meet this crisis.
