An academy for liars by Alexis Henderson is perfect for fans of creepy schools with secret societies. It’s akin to Vita Nostra and I have loved it so far.

Listening to They Never Learn and like the feminine rage in this is excellent.

I need happy book recs. Nothing I’ve read recently seems to be hitting. Especially not this god awful historic fiction I made a bet with my uncle to read.

16% into this audiobook and the juxtaposition of the book trying to make you think isreal is the good guys during the time of the Nakba and them actively bombing the Middle East currently is making this hard to read. No I won’t be giving the title because it’d promote a thing I don’t want to support

Most of the thoughts I have are negative. The MMC is not great and you can tell the author thinks of women as objects.

Currently listening to a book I know will be full on Zionist propaganda only so I can get my uncle to listen to a retelling of the Bible. I have a lot of thoughts and I’m 3% in.

So if our organizing does not take indies into account… say it with me… we are organizing against progress. I am PRO leaving amazon. But we need to do it better.

Reading If We Were Villains and it’s absolutely worth being confused by the theater heavy start. The writing is so well done.
