Day 13 of posting bad media:

So, there's this little movie called Witchboard 2 (1993)... After the success (?) of the first movie, this one follows the exact same formula: woman buys ouija board, has drama with her boyfriend, and almost gets killed. It's a silly 90's bad movie time for sure.

Like really.

The plot barely made sense, and the choices of actors was just abysmal. Jokes fell so flat, they may as well have been a Looney Tunes character crushed by a steamroller.

I was angry the entire time.

This is the rare kind of bad media that should not be engaged with AT ALL!

So you've heard of the Borderlands movie (2024.) Did you know that it's even worse than you've heard? We watched it last night and WOW. Usually you can find a redeeming part of bad media-- an actor, the effects, whatever-- but we hated every. single. part.

This one is hot off the presses, folks! Last night we watched "Night on the Galactic Railroad" (1985). This was a real weird movie.

So, there's two cats. They're on a train that's a metaphor for death, and there's a LOT of Christian imagery. Like TOO MUCH.

Hey, have you ever heard of 1982's "Q: The Winged Serpent"? Well neither had we until we trawled Amazon's vast reserves of bad movies. But, to be fair, anything with David Carradine in it is sure to be gold.

Quetzalcoatl attacks New York! Crimes ensue!

In a world where it doesn't cost $200,000 to $500,000 to launch a helicopter, Los Angeles has heliCops. Don't worry, they mostly spend their time hovering outside of apartment buildings peeping on naked women. Or getting in trouble with the chief. Or crashing.

We can all agree that Cloud Atlas (2012) is bad, right? As a child I loved it, as an adult I think it's a bad take on a bad book.

The idea is-- the same person has lived out multiple lives throughout the centuries and millennia. However it's just kinda a mess

Witchboard (1986) is a classic in our friend group. Prepare yourself for 1 and a half hours of a woman convulsing because the luigi board she's using is EVIL. Everyone insists on calling it a "witchboard," even though that's not what a weggy board is named.

It's got everything: a tone-death mechanic of "half-breeds" and "purebloods," and a werewolves vs. vampires situation with "the Hunters" (men.)

It's like Twilight but worse!

Now when I say that "Brother Bear: the Video Game" is bad, I mean BAD. It was short, it barely covered the movie's events, and it felt a bit like an afterthought.

But hey, the Chicagoan little kid voicing Koda is ADORABLE. He's doing his best and he nails it!

Ever heard of the 1986 My Little Pony movie where giant purple goo eats the town and turns ponies into assholes? Well, now you have.

Affectionately referred to as "MLP '86" in our friend group, this movie is HAUNTING. There's a tentacle monster and everything!

Us too! It was $5 on Steam at some point and one of our cohosts HAD to get it. Unbelievable video game experience.

This is hard to describe. A misshappen, amorphous Gollum stares into the camera. He has ridiculous black circles around his eyes, and his hair seems to be a higher texture than the rest of him, but it is bedraggled and ugly. That's not to say that the rest of him isn't astoundingly ugly either. This creature is terrible to behold. He has green eyes and his skin is white.

We've all heard of "The Lord of the Rings: Gollum." But have you played it? You absolutely should. There's creeping and crawling, snarling and moaning. There's a really bad Gollum voice actor going for broke vs. an even worse Gandalf.

It. Is. Fantastic.

Deadly Premonition (2010) is famous among our friend group. It's draining, it's horrible to play, and it drags on...

However, it's silly and wonderful too.

It's LITERALLY, ACTUALLY "Twin Peaks but a Japanese man wanted to do his own take on it."

Starting a new series where I post a piece of bad media every day!

Day 1: 2000's "Bear With Me" is a classic of the time. The story of a kid who found a bear in her backyard and then went on to protest logging. Because environment/animal rights was a hallmark of 2000s kid's media... for some reason

Holy cow this is impressive! I'm a beginner with embroidery but I can't even imagine working with lace.

We watched this movie last night called "Scales: Mermaids are Real" and Oh Man! What a feature film.

Did you know if you scroll through Tubi you'll find the most glorious yet horrible films ever? "Un Gallo Con Muchos Huevos" was there too. Let's not forget about the Legally Blonde spinoffs either..

A hold holds a purple-capped mushroom. It is more lavendar-ish towards the edges (magenta?) and more dark purple or even black at the very center. The arm is covered with a green sweatshirt and there is moss and other plants in the background.

Went mushroom hunting yesterday... look at this amazing chonky guy I found! That stem is THICK! The one mushroom I know of with a super thick stem is called "Satan's Bolete," but this isn't that! #fungifriends
