I recall trying to explain to people that the police dont care about being called racist & they have a long history of systemic classism & sexism. So when the victims are working class girls and women and the police say they're scared of getting called racist, there was definitely more to the story

As I said on day one, the first day that the Times broke the story about the gangs: the idea that the police were too petrified to investigate sexual offences by Asian men because they might be perceived as racist did not pass *the laugh test*, never mind the smell test.

How awful for them to be injured. I'm sure they must be so looking forward to seeing their family and vice versa. Pls god they are safe now

The failings in this poor man's care are sadly absolutely no surprise to anyone with experience of trying to access mental health services. I'm so sorry to him and his family. People dealing with mental ill health are so often doing so despite NHS services and not with 😔
