These are the original BBC Micro 'Knight Lore' player sprites and objects from Paul Proctor's development disks. They show the character graphic and mask. The mask is used to retain the background image around the player character. The software sprite routine does ( background AND mask ) OR graphic.

40 years ago I was an editorial assistant at 'The Micro User' magazine. It was my first job after my 'A' levels ( I don't have a degree ). I would often attend their computer shows around the country and work on their technical advice stands. In early 1986 I left to become a videogame developer!
