actually i have an example: the one and only time i didnt just keep it in my head

i believe theyre in order top-bottom/ left-right

i only say its looser than moodboard cause i just look at ref pics while i draw and add those bits if they fit into the design puzzle in my head - kind of more like photobashing than anything else

its more loose than a moodboard but i come up with a 'concept' (a personality trait, an object, an occupation, etc) and try and find things that fit that concept and build off of that when designing (and sometimes that comes out as actual MBs or playlists or smthg but not always)
