It's been a long time since I've visited here. Now it's like starting over again! What have you been up to? This past year has been hard on my art life as I spent a lot of time on the real estate life. Leaning back toward art now. Trying to find balance. My latest painting is attached.

Two rocks with great color. I’ll use these for making some oil paints soon.

I got this at the opportunity that arose 5 years ago, so not something I could do again anytime soon either ❀️

I have a Pro 2000 and love it, but I’m not sure how it compares to the Pro 200. Cost of ink is always an issue, but over the years it has saved me a lot in costs of buying reproductions.

Yellow washed pigment settling and soot already washed and ready for making some really messy paint πŸ˜ƒ I use local pigment for making most of my colors. White and blue are outsourced.

The last of this year’s garden. Nothing did well this year but I am happy to keep trying πŸ˜‚ I started a worm bin so maybe that’s going to help next season.

It was a beautiful drive down our dirt road this morning on my way to the office. I had to stop for a photo or three. Here's my favorite one of the bunch.

Earth Tone Wall Art to Bring Nature Inside | Wild Ozarkβ„’ The palette I use has a pleasing effect on how I feel in the presence of my earth tone wall art, from the foraging to the final strokes.

New blog post: www.wildozark.com/earth-tone-w... Do you experience any vibrational alignment or other sense of peace in the presence of nature or earthly colors? Or do you dismiss the woo-woo nature of it altogether or have another way of explaining the feeling?

The trickiest part of this painting was coming up with a believable posture for this thirsty raven to get the spigot open for a stolen drink 🍺 #corvid #raven #oilpainting #ozarkpigments

Hello! I'm sure it'll be like shouting to the wind for a while here, since I'm new, but here goes. I'm Madison Woods, artist. I paint nature scenes with handmade paints that I make from local rocks, soot from the fireplace, & a couple of plants. #art
