The entire right half of the political spectrum has gone all in on the idea that black people are uniformly less qualified for inclusion in politics, leadership, and higher education - and virtually no one has even mentioned it, much less raced to defend black Americans. It’s beyond belief.

Trump Thanks Chief Justice Roberts Won'T Forget GIF ALT: Trump Thanks Chief Justice Roberts Won'T Forget GIF

The Republican hacks on SCOTUS start with whatever ruling will help their fellow Republican partisans and lazily work backwards from there, barely offering an excuse for their egregious hackery.

John Roberts keeps complaining no one respects them. Yeah, because we’re actually paying attention.

The normalization of this madness is so quick that we’re debating whether a second illegal strike was wrong after an initial illegal strike with no proof of any crime and we’ve already seen just random murders of fishermen normalized with the excuse they’re running drugs, which isn’t legal either.

“I think” is how a system run by a king or a dictator works. Here, we have a rule of law that says no one, and that includes the government, can murder people on a whim because it “thinks” they’re up to no good.

The worst part of this isn’t even the bigoted old man going on an appalling rant, it’s the crowd of supposed leaders standing frozen behind him. At some point it is your solemn duty to whatever you believe to be good, holy, and decent to announce “This is horrific and wrong,” and walk out.

An entire room full of powerful old white people smiling and laughing as the president dehumanizes black immigrants and the first black president.

Just fucking pathetic.

Remember the part in the old Peter Pan play where Peter tells the boys and girls in the audience that if they all just clap harder they can save Tinkerbell?

That's what Trump's Cabinet Meeting reminded me of. A bunch of children wildly applauding him, all in an effort to bring him back to life.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

19-year-old college student deported despite judge's order blocking her removal: Lawyer A 19-year-old college student who was on her way to surprise her family for Thanksgiving break was detained at a Boston airport and later deported.

This young woman has lived in America since she was 7.

On her way to visit family for Thanksgiving, she was abruptly detained, shackled, and deported to Honduras. It's not even clear if she had a deportation order.

This isn't going after criminals. It makes no one safer.

Offit told me that Kennedy is a "liar" and a
"terrible human being." I asked him to explain. "It doesn't matter what I say," Offit said. "He thinks the medical journals are in the pocket of the industry, he thinks that the government is in the pocket of the industry, he thinks I'm in the pocket of industry, and he's wrong." Offit continued: "If he has data showing he's right, then fucking publish it. He can't, because he doesn't have those data."
I asked Offit if he saw a way to reverse the public's rising distrust in science. "I don't think there is any way to regain that trust other than have the viruses do the education, and the bacteria do the education, and then people will realize they paid way too high a cost," he said.

"No ceiling" results in what we have: a couple dozen psychopaths control several trillion dollars and the power has made them go stark raving mad. They are obsessed with using their concentrated wealth to punish the population and remake the country into a failed state and international pariah.

That includes reviving the giant Nord Stream pipeline, sabotaged by Ukrainian tactical divers, and under European Union sanctions.
Earlier this year, Exxon Mobil met with Russia's biggest state energy company, Rosneft, to discuss returning to the massive Sakhalin gas project if Moscow and Washington gave the green light.
