Urgent Update: Late Saturday night, USDA issued a memo that all states must “immediately undo any steps taken to issue full SNAP benefits for November 2025.” Joel Berg, CEO of Hunger Free America, responded: “This is more chaos and more cruelty. Some of the 42,000,000 Americans who are legally entitled to SNAP grocery help got it. Most didn't.”

An urgent update on the ongoing Shutdown Hunger Crisis:
Late last night, the USDA issued a memo stating that any state that had been in the process of issuing full SNAP benefits must “immediately undo any steps taken to issue full SNAP benefits for November 2025.”
