Real IDs and state-issued IDs would not be accepted. The bill would also require additional documentation from individuals who have changed their last name if their ID does not match their birth certificate. The bill is expected to fail in the Senate.

The House bill, titled the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, passed by a vote of 220 to 208. It would require states to obtain in-person proof of citizenship—such as a passport or birth certificate—from individuals seeking to register to vote.

The Trump admin is dismantling Freedom of Information Act offices. Then the offices send out emails like, “Hello, the FOIA office has been placed on admin leave and is unable to respond to any emails.” The lengths this admin will go to ensure zero transparency with the American people is astounding.
