Have been thinking about “immigration has been tearing this country apart.” Surely I’m not the only person to think that it isn’t true, but inflamed rhetoric about immigration by politicians is what is tearing this country apart and so statements like that only makes it worse.

Letter from Ed Davey to Keir Starmer condemning Elon Musk for inciting violence and urging unity to defend democracy.

I've written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage, urging them to join me in condemning Elon Musk's dangerous remarks inciting violence yesterday.

As leaders, we must stand together and make clear Musk will face serious consequences for these actions.

10 top William Blake images: #4. Blake worked in the golden age of caricature and clearly enjoyed satirical prints. Here’s one of his on the emerging consumerism of the times, carrying a resonance into our own space age. Childish yearning? Admirable aspiration? Note to Musk?

I just managed to mangle the quote "the arc of history bends towards justice" live, on MSNBC @nicollewallace.bsky.social, quoting Governor Pritzker. But I liked what he said next: "it doesn't bend on its own."

The absolute funniest part of capitalist ideology is that they somehow managed to convince everyone that "freedom" meant like...the freedom to choose between 63 kinds of shampoo, and not like...the freedom to quit a job you hate without losing your health insurance.

The Aberystwyth and Tregaron Bank, also known as Banc y Ddafad Ddu, was established in Aberystwyth, during the early 19th century.

The number of sheep featured on the bank note corresponded to its value in pounds.

“Nations are Destroy'd, or Flourish, in proportion as Their Poetry, Painting and Music are Destroy'd or Flourish!” William Blake wasn’t speaking as if merely romantic here, but because he had a keen sense of the sources of knowledge and wisdom - the “eternal seed of science”.
