"By paying such disproportionate attention to Nigel Farage's latest outfit, Reform UK, the BBC is compromising its reputation. To many licence fee payers, the broadcaster gives the impression that it hangs on every word uttered by Farage..."

πŸ‘‰ Richard Tice says Labour’s #Brexit reset makes us rule takers. But the truth is, Brexit already did that. We had a say when we were in the #EU. Now we don't.

Voters now prefer Ed Davey to Starmer, poll shows Prime Minister’s popularity falls to new low – as Lib Dem leader beats rivals in favourability rankings

Having sometimes both poked fun at polling coverage in the Telegraph and also at coverage of polls omitting the Ed DAvey figures, only fair to point out that the Telegraph went for this recently:

Miscellaneous rubbish in a field, with a wooden sign in front that reads β€œEnd the Fly Tipping Epidemic”

Fly-tipping is out of control thanks to years of Conservative failure.

We’re calling for a Fly-Tipping Fighting Fund to help clean up our communities with tougher fines and stronger enforcement.

This Labour government is completely unfit to govern.

Vote for the best placed of the decent parties - Lib Dem, Green, PC - on 1st May.

Welfare changes: how to lose points and money Labour plans to axe vital support for the ill and disabled. For many, it’s not just policy – it’s a death sentence

"The amount the government is seeking to cut from the benefits bill is colossal: Β£4.5bn every year by 2029/30.

To put this in context, the government currently spends Β£48bn on health-related benefits, so this is a cut of just under 10%."

Cartoon for St George's day by Stephen Collins for the guardian. Script as follows:

Scene is outside a cave, ST GEORGE in armour etc is confronting the DRAGON while the CAPTURED PRINCESS looks on.

DRAGON:
So let me get this straight.

DRAGON:
You’re hoping to reinforce β€˜helpless princess’ tropes…

DRAGON:
By publicly stabbing an *endangered animal* to death with a *sword*…

DRAGON:
So you can force a whole Syrian village to convert to Christianity….

DRAGON:
And become a nationalist icon for a colonial state…

DRAGON:
Through the cultural appropriation of ancient medieval dragon myths.Β

DRAGON:
You’ve not been *online* very long, have you?

GEORGE:Β
I have been quite surprised by the comments.

GEORGE’S SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT [who is filming this encounter on an iPhone]:
I told you it’s problematic, George.

DRAGON:
Problematic? It’s a *bin fire*!

DRAGON:
OK. Here’s how you turn this round -Β

CUT TO a YoutTube post called β€˜MY JOURNEY (An apology)’. GEORGE is crying to camera, Dragon in background.

What next for the Lib Dems?

Liberal Democrat MPs stood with hardworking carers at Westminster today, calling on the government to scrap the jobs tax on care providers and complete the social care review within a year.

It’s time to give carers the support they need and deserve.

So Nigel Farage has chosen to explain away Trump’s outrageous remarks about President Zelensky instead of doing the right thing and condemning them. Deeply disappointing but not at all surprising.

He sounds like a spokesman for Trump. He certainly doesn’t speak for Britain.
