and because of FPTP, they feel more comfortable with that system because they don't want to deal with either the NDP, PPC, Greens, etc, since from their POV, that'll cause both the Tories/Liberals many headaches, that they don't want to deal with them

Hot take: I don't expect Canada or any of its provinces to reform their electoral system, because both the Conservatives and the Liberals benefit a lot from the status quo.
