The Lib Dems have told supporters "we are the only party with the conviction to stand up and fight for what we believe in" by still backing proportional representation, "not because it benefits us, but because we think it’s right"

"We must not, and will not, give up the fight for electoral reform."

Gay men are very good at living a lie and pretending to be or not be something. We have a natural advantage in a game like Traitors, although Alan probs always found it hard to hide himself so that's where my hypothesis falls flat!

Just like cutting Ni twice when the country couldn't afford it to deliberately salt the earth for the incoming government was "stupid" irresponsible, and staggeringly partisan. But hey he's a tory so we have to listen to him eh!

Its a great series Ben. Looking forward to part three. This discussion is long overdue in this country. There is never a sensible debate about our taxation and that paying tax is a good thing, not some nasty lefty plot!

Is there a more vile snake than Farage. There is no situation no matter how sensitive that he won't exploit for his own ends. He is grooming her but she is too damaged to see that the same thing is happening again.

They arrived here (on the Suffolk Coast) a couple of years ago. It is a delight to watch them. They are the most beautiful creatures.

She had a hit with Danny Come home in about 1973. I thought she was amazing. Spoke so many languages performed in lots of amazing places and was quite unique in her appearance. As a lonely bullied little gay kid I lived in my imaginary Nana world travelling all over the world in my head.

OMG Nana Mouskouri. Bless her! Loved her when I was a (weird) gayboy child. She must be cracking on now. Would love to hear her sing the White Rose of Athens one more time.

That is true. I thought he was mad to back himself into such a tight corner.

Don't you think he is heading in that direction at quite a rapid pace? I'm not sure but do hope that it is the case.

Thank God someone is saying it! Define successful. In an electoral system they invented and refuse to change they win at most 40% of the vote. The majority of people who vote in Britain have not and will never vote Tory. That doesnt strike me as successful. Maybe "the most gerimandered" is the truth

All hope is not lost. We have to keep trying at is so so important. I do think fwiw that the country is moving inexorably toward electoral reform given what is going on. The consequences of an election under FPTP in the present circumstances doesn't bear thinking about.

For those of us still in Labour it's complex. I remain as I am utterly committed to the need for Electoral Reform and remain a member so that I can be a part of bringing that about. I feel very uncomfortable with their behaviour. We also have just elected our first Labour MP and she's brilliant.

It has always felt that the people behind the real corruption Gove, Handoncock etc have used her as the lightning rod to deflect from the real corruption. I hope she brings them all down with her.

I'm currently on holiday in northern Spain where yet again I have to pay entry to various things because I am "otros paises" when it is free for EU countries. It makes my blood boil and rubs my nose in all those Brexit Benefits. But hey, we took back control didn't we!

Starmer still seems resistant to making the change though and although we are looking down the barrel of a gun with a Reform majority. What might it take to persuade Starmer to change his mind?

I find it concerning when twice recently I have heard Ed Davey saying that he has given his boycott of the State Dinner a lot of "thought and prayer". This nonsense has no place in British politics. It surprises me that it is the Lib Dems doing this but I fear it may b the thn endof a worrying wedge

What risks did Johnson ever take. When he was in the Bullingdon Club he knew that daddy would pay for the restaurants he and his psycho buddies destroyed for fun!

Zia Yusuf is like a Jewish man standing up in Berlin in 1936 and saying "the problem with this country is the Jews". It probably didn't end well for him in 1936 and I suspect it won't end well for Yusuf in Reform. Turkeys and Christmas!
