Comparing against someone terrible makes anybody look better. I’ve always been willing to cut Obama some slack because obstruction politics negated most compromise efforts. But some of the things he did were really shit. His expansion of executive action help set what’s going down now in place.

I think that statement ignores the effect of stroke on personality and cognitive function, but the realities are parallel. Dysfunctional brains = chaos. When we build our next government, we really need to look at setting psychological, cognitive & ethical standards in macro scale decision making.

I’m aware of it and had already decided to wait for it. I worked one industry being replaced by AI (writing). Rather not help that ball roll.

I’m leery of posting my little paintings. Too much art ends up feeding scavengers online. It’s not like I’m innocent and think I am going to slow the role, nor egotistical enough to think what I do is some special target. Just feels uncomfortable at the moment. But inspiration feels safe.

It’s always a particularly lovely friendship moment when you have plans with someone and you want to cancel because you really just need to not go be in a room full of humans, and they beat you to the call for the same reason (though different causes.)

So, it’s established that insecurity (physically, emotionally, climactically…) in all its forms is really damaging. And we have absolutely been doing it long enough. We need to shift gears to caretaking and honoring each other, because this other shit is not working.

We also know scientifically that negative epigenetic changes result from trauma. Essentially, we are ALL
carrying the scars of our grandparents pain laid upon their grandparents pain ad infinitum.
