I had to give myself some “truth time” and accept these unrealistic goals I’ve set has been more harmful than helpful; causing stress and discouragement.

My boss was at the Women Conf last week. Less than 5% of CEOs are female. Noted less an issue of male dominance and more an issue of imposter syndrome. Women do not reach out unless conditions are nearly perfect. They take less changes to reach for those roles. IDK
You should market your book.

I can definitely relate to this. In the past I wouldn’t apply for a job unless I met 100% of the qualifications only discover research that shows men only need to meet 30% before applying!

I wrote a book in 2022 and have failed miserably to market it and promote it. In reflecting on why, I realized it came down to social conditioning. I would literally feel embarrassed to talk about my book, even after my boss bought copies for my team, that still wasn’t enough…smh

I just have to say that I dread and look forward moving at the same time. It’s such a love-hate situation right now
