Do something good for someone today.

I feel like countries with a slightly longer cultural timeline than us* do this better than we do.
Or perhaps not better, but certainly with more instantly available cohesion to quick response.
And great costumes.
*by, oh, thousands and thousands of years.

Yup, succumbed. Given what on my T feed is getting seen and what's going dark as soon as I post, seems like an intelligent plan.
13.03.2025 20:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It will put some out of business, more out of certain product lines. I have always kept my design pricing on a slim margin that doesn't account for design and listing time. I will still do that, but a $30 bag has to go up to $36, and I hate that.
08.03.2025 16:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My heart and my peace lay in my dogs, my forests, my rivers, and my work. These are where joy and sanity live in me and where I go to ease my anger and recharge my determination.

My name is Loree and I am an Oregon artist and writer hanging out in the Gateway To The Gorge at my studio in Troutdale. I have lived in Oregon all of this life, and within 30 miles of where I sit right now through all of my memory.
08.03.2025 16:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0On my work, on your Nikes and Adidas, on and on. Shipping cost just shifted from weight and size to product cost with the tariffs.
And before you ask about producing in the U.S., the answer is still Yes. They'll go up more.
My cost then was $60.95 product + $7.58 shipping = shipping cost 12.44% of product cost.
Today's order was $60.57 + $33.04 shipping + $3.50 surcharge = shipping cost 54.55% of product cost.
Think prices are going to go up? Yes. They have to if businesses are going to stay in business.
So, in case you don't think the cost of tariffs is going to impact you, here's a wee sample. I put in a custom order for bags today. The bags are produced in China. The last order in early January was the same product price, and the same weight.
