Ray French: Rugby league legend and BBC commentator dies aged 85 - BBC Sport
Rugby league great Ray French, who commentated on the sport for the BBC over four decades, has died at the age of 85.
This is sad news. Listened to his commentaries and his knowledge of the game growing up. Part of the soundtrack of my youth. Always clear, always informative and always wonderful use of the English language! #RIP

Poor oral health is a strong indicator of disadvantage in Australia. So why arenβt we doing anything about it?
We could fund a universal public dental care system if we really cared about improving oral health
My op-ed today as part of a special series on oral health.
βDental care in Australia is at a crossroad. There is an opportunity to take bold action to correct the mistakes of the past and create an equitable dental system that ensures all Australians β¦

Great work by our colleague & PhD candidate at Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne. Very interesting practice-based research data as part of his wider project investigating orifice barriers for coronal restorations for root filled teeth.

Iβm encouraging others at the #unimelbMDS to adopt this philosophyβ¦ I mean in #dental #education we literally sit beside our students to guide them through simulation and patient care. This is a nurturing approach to reaching milestones that Iβm sure enhances studentβs experiences and abilities

Antimicrobial resistance - a global health problem
Is dental prescribing helping or harming patients? Antimicrobial resistance has been described as one of the greatest threats to human and animal health, as well as to food and agriculture.
Australian dentists write around 70,000 prescriptions for antibiotics each month. But how many of those prescriptions are actually necessary, and are we contributing to antimicrobial resistance. I speak to dentist & pharmacist Dr Leanne Teoh.
